Our Commitment
We will listen and respond to the community
Community is at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with landowners, neighbours, Traditional Custodians, local councils and community groups to ensure every project is informed by local knowledge and priorities. We value open dialogue and provide transparent information throughout the entire development process.
We will create meaningful, lasting benefits
Our projects bring meaningful economic opportunities to regional areas. From early sponsorship programs, electricity bill credit programs, our nearby neighbour program and community benefit funds to partnerships with local businesses, local contracting and job creation. We aim to empower regional economies and support long-term community resilience.
We will strive for responsible, thoughtful design in every project
Every project is unique. What worked before may not be the right approach for this project. We are dedicated to developing renewable energy assets that respect the land, protect biodiversity and reduce environmental impacts. Our iterative approach to design responds to local feedback and on the ground survey results to avoid and minimise impacts to ecology, heritage and surrounding land use.
We will develop long-term partnerships in the community
The relationships we build with communities don't end when development is complete. Stromlo Energy partners with local businesses, Councils and community groups who will remain active contributors throughout the life of each project, supporting local initiatives and ensuring ongoing benefits for the region.
We will create a lasting legacy
We believe renewable energy should uplift the places where it's built. Through collaboration, benefit sharing, investment and responsible development, we work to create a lasting legacy of clean energy, economic opportunity and community benefits.
Our Approach
Early and transparent engagement
We engage early and often with landowners, Traditional Custodians, local council, government and community stakeholders to ensure our projects are informed by local knowledge from the outset. Clear communication and transparency guide our approach at every stage of development. We will always be upfront about project impacts and benefits.
Responsible Environmental Approach
Environmental responsibility is central to our development process. Through careful site-selection and design we work to minimise impacts on biodiversity, waterways and surrounding land. We implement appropriate management plans at all stages of development that support environmental outcomes.
Responsible project design
Each project is underpinned by detailed technical, environmental and planning assessments. These assessments inform the project design to avoid and minimise impacts. We focus on site-appropriate design that considers land use, environmental values and network access.
Collaborative Development and Delivery
We partner with highly experienced consultants, contractors and suppliers to develop our projects safely and efficiently. Collaboration ensures our projects will meet regulatory requirements and our commitments to community.
