Project approvals

The Devlins Bridge Wind Farm is a considered State Significant Development (SSD). Development applications for SSD projects are assessed by the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces.

In 2024 we submitted our scoping report for the project and were issued the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs). The SEARs set out the technical assessments and other information the Minister requires in order to assess the project.
You can view the full SEARs on the Major Projects Portal.

In 2024 we also submitted our Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act referral - EBPC to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) for a determination. DCCEEW determined the project is a controlled action and approved assessment of this under the Bilateral Arrangement with DPHI.
You can view the determination on the EPBC Act Public Portal

We have been undertaking the required assessments over the past two years; these have informed the design of the wind farm. We are now preparing the environmental impact statement in response to the SEARs, We are expecting to submit this to DPHI in mid-2026 for assessment.

DPHI will review our submission and then place it on public exhibition. During the exhibition period, you will be able to view the EIS online or in person at our office in Narrandera.
